We can program the Electric Yacht QuietTorque 5.0 at 24v or 36v at which time it can use fewer batteries and be 1/3 or 1/2 the power of when it is 48v. Same parts so the same price. We have done this for a number of small boats to save space with limited battery space. We do not recommend going below 36v as you loose some efficiency in the system. I am sure other systems can do the same.
