Even I can answer this one.
That 103 watt solar panel won't do you much good if you find yourself a few miles from the dock and no juice in your battery bank.
The panel is for producing power while the battery is for storing and delivering power. The battery is to an electric motor what carbon based fuel is to an ICE.
BTW, I'm a big believer in solar panels. To me they are like wind in my sails.

If you have a two KWH battery bank and double its' capacity you will have a four KWH bank. Adding another 130 watt panel will increase your monthly output to 30 KWH.
