Hey John, Dan Here. I have had the same dreams all the time. Then I started building my own boats. I now build for others too. As you may or may not know, ANYTHING can be "electrofied". I start with one of the many designs at Glen-L.com, then look at the plethora of E-O/B conversions or better yet, do an inboard and call folks like Jim Lambden @ Electro Prop for motor and battery solutions.
Hope you turn your dream into a reality. That is part of what this forum is all about.

And a catamaran form would be MUCH more efficient than a monohull, with plenty of space for passengers in a small, light form factor...If I built something like a 6' by 12 or 13' pontoon boat, any idea how many HP it would take to get it cruising at 10mph?Thoughts?John
