[Electric Boats] Re: battery has 4 times the energy of Li ion

 

It's still a lithium battery, though, and my concern is with the availability and cost of the raw materials. Sodium is one of the more common elements and the oceans are full of it. As far as I know, contemporary sodium-sulfur batteries do have to be kept hot, but once that hurdle is overcome I think they'll make a powerful, CHEAP battery.
