I'll try and do on mine before my boat is sold. Out of interest, this is one reason I went with direct drive, so my motor typically runs at half the speed of a 48V system, with of course no gear or belt noise either. I also used sound deadening in the engine bay and of course motor isolation mounts and flexible drive coupling. I suppose part of this could be solved by using non air cooled motor. Having said all that I can still hear the birds sing on the mainland when under power and before I'm aware of the motor. In my small double ended boat (26ft) the main noise is from the prop and cutlass bearing, in part because they are not so far from the waterline and right under my feet in the cockpit. It's still way better than a noisy diesel though!
