The Haswing Osapian 55 has 5 forward speeds and 3 reverse. I know that I can buy replacement motor brushes, and speed switch module. The manual has a simple wiring diagram showing 2 wires from battery to the switch module, and 4 wires from the module to the motor. I haven't been able to find any other info online.
I know the motor is made in China, and sells in Asia, Australia and North America. In Vancouver, there are a few local guys with online stores who import them. The motor worked well, and seemed unaffected by salt water, but didn't like having it's controls submerged for a few hours. Still a good deal for $200 CDN.
I'll update this thread once I open the motor's case.
