[Electric Boats] Re: converting Haswing Osapian trolling motor to PWM [2 Attachments]

Here are pics of the inside of the control head. It's not sealed, and the positive supply wire got fried off when it filled with salt water. The lugs on the speed control switch are OK, so I'm going to try cleaning it up and re-using it, once I replace the clip that melted down.

I'm trying to figure out the circuit using an ohm meter. Nothing has a constant resistance. Instead, the resistance of each connection gradually increases or decreases over time. Could those be windings?
