I was looking at the Golden Motor motor - I thought you were using their motor with their controller. The water cooled motor is only about $50 more than the air cooled, last I checked. Obviously attaching the hoses is an extra complication, but boats are fitted with those anyway.

I'm going with air cooled. I sail on lake michigan so it stays relatively cool most of the year. The motor is only used to get in and out of the marina so load and runtime will be light. I think most folks stick with air cooled as I'm not even sure if mars sells a liquid cooled motor.
