[Electric Boats] Ordering Cautions from China --- just a note

That can derail you, what is in China is not always so in the US.  I have been shipped chipped, broken and obsolete versions of what was ordered.  Key switches for cars instead of a mountable boat dash switch, obviously used parts, and other tales.   Doing the biz is fun, but be prepared to lose a few times too, part number changes, plus cost and big shipping charges.  If you overpay when some stuff got short shipped -- be prepared " we will gladly credit your NEXT order" and  "our records don't show that" so zero refunds seems to be the way it works.  I have credits several places, so maybe $50. US, that is probably gone forever.  Ali Baba tried to hijack one order, almost lost a $200. piece on that deal and it took a month to get it fixed and the stuff here, only because the company worked with me on it – way too close !!  Fun ordering, like La Vegas getting here.

Jerry,

I went to the alibaba link you referenced and got a "sample price" of $200, not $30.

Buying direct from China, the batteries are not expensive... Ebay business anyone?  Here are 160Ah LiFePO4 3.2 v batteries for $30 each... you need 15 to get to 48v.... =$450  Lots of specs and pictures to look at anyway... http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/3-2v-high-power-deep-cycle_1643720836.html
