I've left the backing on them but do intend to remove the glue from the ones I've eyleted. Should be quite easy to scrape off if heated a little. I think, if you want to stick them to something, you should round of the corners first so they don't start peeling there, I'm not sure why they don't come like that, it makes sense to me!
