Re: [Electric Boats] Finally finished

Yes the motors were from Re-Power. I have not been in contact with the guy in over a year so not sure on how his progress is going. I myself was looking installing a pair just inside the aft end of my twin keels. I was thinking the props would catch the most water velocity for regeneration and give excellent maneuverability. I see Re-Power still has a small web site and the price of the motors looks to have doubled in price.

Hello-

I've been lurking here for some time, but your posting about a fellow who is mounting E-pods on each side of the skeg has forced me out into the open! i'm building an 18' Catboat, and have been considering doing the same thing, but using Minn-Kota units- cutting down the long verticle shaft, etc. Would appreciate any further info, photos, etc.

BTW, are his E-pods from RE Power? I thought they went belly up.
