Tom,
My Electric Solomons Lagoon 410 is in Solomons MD and I wish I had known this was happening. Your 30 miles away and I have commitments I can't break. Next year for sure!

Thanks for the input Alberto. We have run the races on Friday so that the boats were available to veiw at the Mid Atlantic Small Craft Festival the following day--we figured that would give the boats the most public exposure. And you are right that we need to promote the race ahead of time in the local papers--we will do a better job of that in the future. I will also see if we can get the rights to post on the website the race reports that were published in PropTalk the last few years. For sure I will get the results for each year posted next month to the site.
As for the other responses--I'm glad to here some chatter on this finally--thanks for the support. You all raise good issues. I will see a few of the past winning boats again this year and will try to get something about each boat posted to the website soon.
As for other locations--well, that has been the problem all along--we are simply spread too thin. We used to move the annual meeting location of the EBAA around to different parts of the East Coast and finally decided that having a home of sorts that could be planned on each year was the better way to go. I would love to see events pop up in other parts of the country and hopefully what we learn at the Wye Island race will inspire others to organize such.
Any further comments will be most welcomed!
Thanks.

Also, having some time specifically allocated to showing the boats and systems would be interesting (I guess it happens anyway).

If there is interest but just not in these two events I would like to hear what would be appealing IE: different location, different dates, mulitple distance choices...whatever.
