Nice little rig.
I like the idea of solar but find myself questioning how much of my charging I could do with solar. In your case it is the perfect solution. Low usage and plenty of time to recharge. I fear I would simply be buying more components for the "feel good" experience of being off the grid and free of a power cord. I am running 4 12 volt AGM's. Boat does not get a lot of use but when I do have at the lake I use daily and want fully charged.

Hi,
Years ago, I posted once about my first solar/electric dinghy, that I built and that got destroyed in hurricane Luis in 1995.
I did all my moving between anchored boat (Linda) and the shore for 2 years with much joy, no fixing and never buying gas.
Anyway, I built a new solar electric motorsailing trimaran dinghy from scratch and stuff from the bilge, named "Big Oil"
I still have a gasguzzling dinghy as well, but hardly ever use it now, since she is such a joy to use.
