On your boat I would be more concerned about the drag associated with a bow thruster than anything else, especially under sail.
Perhaps add a small bow sprit (cutter rigs are great anyway!). Just rig the trolling motor under the bow sprit on some kind of rig like a roller furler uses so you can retract it when not needed. ;-) Then just use the trolling motor without modification except for mounting.__._,_.___
