I may be missing something here. What voltage are you running the motor to achieve the 5000 rpm? The Tartan 27 can be well pushed by a 5kW 48v motor running at about 2000rpm and a balanced propeller. I am wondering if the motor is running at 48v or 96v to achieve the 5000rpm that is matched to the 5.83 to 1 gear reduction.
