Hi Jason,

Our displacements are similar. Yours around  7500 lbs/ 3402 kg and mine around 3.3 tons. Typo before obviously wrong at 2,240 so should be 7500 lbs loaded. Do you know your loaded? Your hull speed obviously greater than my 21.25 LWL. My wetted surface with modified full keel (cut away forefoot) would be a guess but as she is a double ender I expect it is not as bad as you may think in terms of drag at cruise and top speed.

Your 0913 is 50RPM/Volt (unloaded I assume). Mine 45 and your torque constant is 0.15 Nm I believe. Mine 0.185. Our props at 12 x 14 are the same (3 blade) but I thought Jame's Acme props were 12.5 x 14 in fact?

So even though you have more power for top speed we should be comparable at say 4 Knots in terms of wattage. It will be fun to see and compare my direct with your geared. I expect my motor to be running at 90% efficiency at 4 Knots. I use a PSS shaft seal. My controller a Sigma 425S, with less continuous. 80 Amps. Would have chosen the larger one but funds weren't there at the time and I doubt I'll ever want 80 continous anyhow. Motor  is 100 Amps continuous at top shaft speed loaded of around 970 RPM.

Normal day to day running I expect 20-40 amps on my 24V 260AH string, if just motoring.

Looking forward to this year after 600 miles with a different set up last year for my original tests.
John
