[Electric Boats] RE: help with bms

If you switch from series to parallel for propulsion, you would not be able to able to use solar or wind for generation as you would be only charging one of the bank of batteries.
Unless you have a system of switching the charging from battery to battery(lowest charge first)

I am looking at having 2 banks and switching charging from one bank to the other and the bank not charging becomes my propulsion

from what I can figure using an NPN and a PNP FET in parallel should handle the switching easily

when the voltage on one bank drops below level set by zenner the opamp will switch to the other bank automatically and start the charging circuits.

my biggest issue is to prioritize the charging to be used saving the generator and shore power for last

only if the solar and wind are not producing enough to charge the batteries

and the dump load from the charge controller would actuate the brake on the wind gen
