[Electric Boats] Re: wire size - additional quick question

 

Thanks Joe. I plan on multiple motors, so I will have to have a series
wired option in the switching to reduce the speed if I need to.

Yes it would consume power. the amount of power consumed (W) watts would
be
the resistor value in ohms times the current in Amps squared. It would
not
produce much magnetism. Joe
