Doug,
I believe several people have been affected by the poor service from Re-e-power including ourselves at Rodann Yachts. I think the drives could have been acceptable if the company had developed and tested them more before bringing to market. We purchased two E2000 pods + controllers etc. in 2008 for our Dandee catamaran ($7,000 total) and struggled to make them work effectively. Kevin was returning our emails and promised our money back if we were not happy. In his favor he did make a trip up here to Canada to try and solve our problems but we were still very unhappy with the performance and we finally demanded our money back. This is when the communications stopped. We are now selling these epods so if anyone is interested let me know.

To the group: Hope you can be of some assistance to me in this matter. Back in June of 2009, I ordered a Model 2000 electric motor and submitted a payment to Re-E-Power for $2,750. To date, I have not received the motor and have tried uncountable times to reach the owner, Kevin, regarding my order. He has not returned any calls or emails and seems to have dropped off the face of the earth - except for the fact that I now see the exact same motor for sale on eBay for the same amount of money on a buy-it-now basis. Does anyone have any information about this company, if indeed it is a real company, and what their situation might be? I would appreciate any information you might be able to share as I am now contemplating further action. My plans to equip my pocket cruiser with a suitable electric motor seem to be in jeopardy right now, and I am afraid I am out over $2,000. Thanks.Doug Doughty
