Depending on the range you need, it is a lot cheaper to roll your own instead of using the expensive Torqeedo batteries. My set up is the Ocean Torque kayak and use LiFePO4 prismatic cells instead of lead acid. For less than $450 you can have a 40 mile range on (4) 3.2 volt, 100 a-hr cells in series. I use (2) of these 4 cell packs, one for the outbound leg and the other to return on, total of 80 miles of cruising @ 4 mph.
