Race rules: it is just a matter of when, not if, for electric storage of racing energy. It is such a great tool for precise boat control. Maybe start with 10 WattHours storage, use it for start line control, burst acceleration, stretched tacks, buoy rounding, strategic braking... yet use it foolishly and another sailboat could wind-block you in a heartbeat. An incredible tool in the tactician's arsenal. And the spill-over into the used equipment market would be great for scroungers and experimenters.
