Maybe not exactly what was asked...
If you charge each battery separately with a 12V charger, it doesn't
matter if they're not quite even. That's what I do in my electric
car. If I have to take out a battery or two, it just reduces the
range and power a bit until I get a new one. I only replace one at a
time instead of suddenly needing a whole new, identical set.
BTW for that reason, I have a Delta Q 72 V charger for sale - 200$ OBO.
