It's going to go very fast for a very short period of time, then there'll be a lot of smoke.

They do make 24 volt trolling motors if you're stuck with 24 VDC output for some reason.

Does any one know if you can hook up 24v. to a 12v. trolling motor or does it have to be built for it.
