One effect of the inverter operation of the Honda inverter gen-sets is
that they produce 'clean' power. Many of the far cheaper alternator-gen
sets are really only intended to operate power tools and as such don't
really produce particularly clean power.
Weather this bothers our chargers or not I don't know. Certainly you
don't want to be running a computer or other modern bit of electronics
off one of those 'cheap and tough' alternator sets.
