Hello, Thank you for expressing an interest in my stuff. I am not a mechanic or engineer so I can't answer any technical questions. However, I did write down everything I could find on each of the components which all do work well. First is the controller; Curtis PMC 36-48 volts, current 225, model 1204-410, serial #1138 0029 4702. Second is the onboard computer (fused); Lester Electrical, 101909901, part# 21065-01, LE 01205 30143 Ver. 1.35S. Third is the motor; Club Car 48 volts, Pt#102237701, HP 3.10, Date code ssn-MOT04302000101432E, Ph#706-863-3000, 3000rpms, FED code# 88422. Fourth is the transmission; #3239913 (8:1)+/- Fifth is the axle - code 32399903-18, 11201607GT723EA As I said earlier this is all I know about this stuff. I live in Klamath Falls, Oregon. I would see how much it costs in your area for this setup and then what it would cost to ship or come get. then we can talk about a reasonable price. I do not want to try and get rich off this. If I can help you do your thing and get a decent price, that will be good enough for me.

Bill - What, exactly, do you have? Please be specific. What type and model and year of golf cart is the doner? A motor? How many Kw? RPM? Torque? 36V or 48V? A controller? How many amp? What brand or model? Also, switches? Do you have a forward / reverse? Also a speed selector switch? How much $ do you want? Where are you located (shipping costs)? And how well do you think that this stuff will work? Thank you very much!! ----- Original Message ----- From: "bill garrison" <wagarrison@yahoo.com> To: electricboats@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, March 14, 2011 3:52:01 PM Subject: Re: [Electric Boats] Columbia 29 sailboat
I was going to try and use my golf cart set up for a 40' houseboat, but was assured there would not be enough power there to move it sufficiently or effectively. However, it may work for your 29' sailboat which probably weighs a lot less than a houseboat. I have a good setup with the controller, motor, transmission, and original charger for it. If you are interested in it let me know.

I have a 1964 Columbia 29 sailboat with a 47 year old gasoline Atomic 4 engine. I don't motor much, I sail. I don't like the engine. I only need it primarily to get in and out of the marinas & harbors, and occasional ill winds. I am on a large inland lake where the winds are usually very favorable. I think that a golf cart motor conversion would be ideal. I'm a mechanical engineer, so designing the installation would be pretty easy. I just need to learn more about the electrical system, performance, battery drain, etc. Have any of you ever utilized a golf cart system to power a sailboat? I am happy to be in the group.. Thank you - Michael Shea
