[Electric Boats] Re: Converting my Dufour 24 to electric, and hopefully the perfect McCovey Cove sailor for during Giants games.

> Hi everyone.
> My name is Alex Mozes. I'm new to this group and electric boat conversion, but very excited to have found you all, and hope to take full advantage of your collective knowledge to help convert my 1975 Dufour 24 to the perfect SF Bay day sailor (and McCovey cove regular!). And I'm open to trading help for a sail or an anchor in the cove during during a Giants game.

For folks unfamiliar with this mostly European, tiny pocket cruiser, it may be an ideal conversion boat, as its only about 3000lbs, but came with a (now removed) dirty diesel inboard, making it one of the smallest boats with a prop shaft and engine room built in.

I was inspired by the very cool refit done on Sailing Uma, and am hoping to follow in their footsteps for a cheaper, diy solution as opposed to a kit. Any advice or leads on a good motor would be greatly appreciated. Any other advice or articles/books to help as I'm getting started would also be a huge help.

Thanks again and looking forward to getting to know this community and Ma be sailing with some of you!

P.s. Sorry for the duplicate, premature send. Lesson one: don't email a new group for the first time from my phone...
