[Electric Boats] Electric Bike batteries, and parallel connection?

 

I hadn't previously considered electric bike battery packs, as I assumed they were too small for my application.  However...  After listening to the previous thread and looking into it, this certainly looks like a GREAT way to do a backup battery.

Does anyone have any experience with the battery packs below, or similar??
Will they really run at 20A for an hour without overly discharging them??

Next thought:

The major obstacle that I had to "going lithium" was the significant initial expense.
But since these are already 48V per pack, can I start with one, and then as my budget allows, keep adding more in parallel for greater range and capacity?

I'm assuming they could be tied in parallel with a battery switch while in use, and that ALL of them should have their own fuse (50A fuse, if max drain shouldn't exceed 30A???).   Is there a good standard practice for combining batteries in parallel, protecting one from discharging into a neighbor if the neighbor starts to fail?

Could I use a 1000V, 75A bridge rectifier to tie multiple batteries in parallel while preventing one battery from draining into another?
