Electric vehicles, just like industrial uses, should use continuous duty
power ratings.
I suspect a Renault 12 kW system can run forever outputting 12 kW.
As can a Tesla.
Likewise, a (typical) industrial system with a nominal output power of x
kW can output that power for forever.
(industrial motor, conveyors, servo systems, motion control systems, cnc
systems, etc.)
The cooling and ratings are such that this is the maximum output power
the system can deliver without damage.
I suggest all electric yacht systems should use the same.
I suspect that in the EU you are required to only advertise what you can
deliver, including with electric vehicles.
Certainly, in the EU, anything sold to the public must perform to the
rated specs, and all repairs are at cost of manufacturer, for 2 years.
You are not allowed to selll anything to private individuals without a
full 2 year warranty.
Fwiw, ymmv, jmho.
