The Kelly and Sevcon Millipak are similar in performance. The Sevcon Gen4 is more advanced. The Kellys and Millipaks required extra cooling in normal boat operation, it wasn't unheard of to have them shut down from overheating. The Gen4 barely gets warm at full throttle on my boat. If you think about it, low temps indicate higher efficiency, high temps are power getting turned into heat instead of work.
I wouldn't use anything but a Gen4 with a ME0913.
