> AGM's are great batteries - IF - you can afford 3 to 4 times the cost of regular batteries and are willing to invest serious money in the correct battery recharging equipment. AGM batteries are very sensitive to over-voltage charging that will kill them very quickly. The modern 3-step or more charges with adjustible voltages for each step work the best.
> Remember that any battery using lead and acid can only be discharged 50% maximum before you start to do serious damage to the lifespan of the battery. That needs to be included in your calculations of how many AH of batteries you need.
