It's a nice looking boat for power boat except for the diesel and LCD TV. <g> Don't know why they went with a separate diesel engine to drive the generator that then powers the motor. Instead of just a diesel generator. Seems the to violate the KISS system: Keep It Simple Sailor! That clutch plate mating with the engine IMO makes it way too complicated for an electric boat. Still I could see this boat functioning quite well in my local waters for those who like power boats. Harbor speed is no wake or around 5 knots. Most power boats head out of the harbor and go fishing within a five mile range. Spend several hours at anchor and then head back in. That could all be done under electric power with this boat. I don't know if it's a game changer but, IMO it's a large step in the right direction. Capt. Mike P.S. I hope Santa brings some of you a nice electric propulsion system for Christmas. They are much lighter and easier to get down the chimney than diesels! But, don't expect him to bring the batteries! --- On Wed, 12/23/09, captnlen <trikini2008@
