You guys might have an answer
I have a friend that uses a mobility scooter. is 24 V Uses 2 12 v.
batteries
I replaced the batteries a year ago. Keep them charged.
She just came back from a cruise and the unit died leaving the boat.
It has a 3 point 24 V charger ( 4 amp max) I plugged it in and no charge
rate indicated
I tried separating the batteries and charging with my 12 volt charger
and both took a charge going to 13.80 V
Now the question is: are the batteries gone again or is it the charger.
Took a voltmeter and on my 12 v charger get a 14 V reading
But on any combination using the 3 points on the 24 V charger read .o8
or -0 or nothing.
What kind of reading should I look for to see if it is charging?
I thought would get 12V out of 2 points, one being common but not happening
How do I prove the charger is any good.
