Re: [Electric Boats] macgregor sailboat converted?

 

I had a V222 poptop for a few years...    It's a "weekender" with a lot of room with the top Popped up... but not a lot of cabin room with the top unpopped.   
A few hundred pounds of battery ballast would improve the motion.  Yes, the boat will handle up to 40HP if you have the transom cut-out version and not the bracket model. 
It is easily trailerable and quick and easy to rig for the water.  It's light and should go like heck if converted.

they say your could ski someone with a 90 hp 4 stroke
fillable ballast, that could be converted or partially converted to batteries
anyone researched it for being a good platform?
