Re: [Electric Boats] FW: New Member from Iceland--- a Note or two

I guess you are not a motorcyclist ;)

Not obvious I agree but I know they are Farasis cells.

Taking info from:

http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/zero-fxs/specs.php

Calculating difference between models it seems individual pack weight inc packaging and mounting is 19Kg total which would give 168.4 Wh/Kg if using stored energy value difference of 3.2 kWh. 102 Volts. Don't have volume figures. Packs modular so can add to each other.

Last year's Zero motor specifications quoted to me: "Z-Force 75-5 passively air-cooled, high efficiency, radial flux permanent magnet, brushless motor: 70 ft lbs (92Nm) with 420A / controller = 0.166Ftlb / Amp , 0.219Nm / Amp. That is the motor Kt (nm/amp), which is the same value as the motor Ke (in Volts / (Radian/second)) so to convert that to Volts per RPM you get 0.219 * 2*pi / 60 = 0.022939 Volts / RPM, then invert that to get 43 RPM / Volt."
