Another mini observation...
I was on my boat today after running its 10 KwH battery bank down to ~90% yesterday. The sky was sunny until ~1400 local time and partly cloudy thereafter. When I left the boat (at 1900 local), the battery bank was at 99%. I'm at 30 degrees North latitude and have a 580 watt (peak) solar array.
Not rocket science but very encouraging to observe first-hand.
