The point is well taken. I'm keeping it in mind for sand casting a
propeller in zinc-aluminum alloy, which I plan to melt on a 1000W
hotplate outdoors.

However, the kitchen oven can't get up to the melting point of zinc,
still less approach its boiling point. (melting point: 419 °C (787
