Extends runtime? That would be pretty cool, a monitor that increases the capacity of your cells. Of course it doesn't really do that.
That's like having a gas gauge that makes your car get better mileage. An more accurate gauge doesn't create more gas nor make the driveline more efficient. However, it would allow you to run closer to empty, if you think that is a good idea....
