Well, it is way noisier than mine, thats for sure. Of course he is actually running two, sometimes three motors, so that would account for a lot more noise. And not down in an engine room, either. I forgot what sort of motors and controllers he is using. I am assuming salvaged brushed motors, and Chinese PWM boxes or salvaged ones. Buying brand new BLDC motors and sine wave controllers wouldn't really be in keeping with his philosophy I am thinking.
BTW, regarding the elevation or lack of it, hurricanes are fairly rare in Panama. The hurricane belt doesn't really start until you get up to Honduras. And I like to think that he has a place on the mainland where he can find refuge.
