32.5 Irwin 1972 4' draft
Engines:
2000KW Honda portable gas generator (110V &12V output)
Two 48V outboards w/ remote throttle (~10 HP each)
Two 48V battery chargers (110V input, 48V output)
Two 48V battery banks (Four 12V deep cycle batteries in series)
(Eight Wal-Mart batteries total)
This is MINIMAL endless propulsion. (till gen gas runs empty)
Generator recharges batteries while
motoring/sailing and for 110V cabin equipment.
Shore power recharges batteries dockside (2-10hours)
Barely enough power to gunk hole St Pete to Keys 2012.
Cabin equipment, lights, GPS etc.:
One 12V battery
One 12V battery charger
Docking mode:
One motor for forward/reverse thrust.
Second motor for stern left/right steering positioning.
Next projects:
Toss diesel overboard:)
Install electric onboard.
