The is certainly a big plus.
As for switching from inboard to an outboard drive, having owned sailboats with both, I would only consider such if I were never going to be powering in any kind of a sea. If one has ever tried such, he/she knows what I mean as it is pretty much impossible to keep the prop in the water.
