If you are in California and are an electric sailor or thinking about becoming one, two interesting fun events are coming up:
First is the Strictly Sail Pacific, April 10-13. Joining Electric Yacht will be Elco, eClean Marine, Electroprop and Torqeedo. This is a great time to meet these vendors and learn about what is happening with electric technologies. There will be seminars on many subjects including power management, solar, propulsion, and most importantly sailing.
Second will be the Newport to Ensenada Race April 24. This is the 67th year for this 126 mile international race. We will be doing the N2El race for the first time with our Columbia 9.6 and would encourage any other electric boat who would be interested in joining us. We will be in the Cruiser no spinnaker class. After the race we will likely take some time and visit San Diego. We will sail back on Monday and likely spend at least one night in San Diego. Anyone want to meet at a place to have adult beverages?
