Re: [Electric Boats] removing old engine

We sold the Yanmar 3GM30 from our motor launch by placing it on DieselEngineTrader.com.  If your engine is still running it is definitely worth trying to sell it.  Lots of folks out there are looking for a deal on a used engine.

As for removing the old engine - most marina yards have cranes that can lift engines out.  It pays to do all of the prep work yourself so you are just paying for the crane time to lift the engine out.

Anyone have suggestions on removing (and maybe selling??) an old diesel engine before replacing with an electric?
Thanks,
