Re: [Electric Boats] Albin 25 test results

Scott,
I think we're pretty much on the same page regarding the solar stuff, and if anything we're probably a bit conservative. I haven't done much figuring in that arena, but it looks encouraging.

Stephan,
I still haven't got around to pulling the motor cover and counting the pulley teeth, but I think it's around 2:1. I'm sure it will have no real bearing on your potential installation since our boats are so drastically different.
Keep in mind that this is a 5000 lb boat that was designed for efficient running at displacement speeds. She is 25ft overall, lwl is 22ft, max beam is 8ft, and probably more like 7 at the waterline.

Here are some new numbers from today. It was blowing about 15 to 18 kt on the lake, with whitecaps and 12 to 18 inch chop. I headed straight into it for the first set of numbers. Some of the readings seemed a little off so I did them over. That's why the progression jumps around a bit. Later it occurred to me it was probably the gusty winds and random chop causing the variability.

The second set was taken going directly downwind in the same conditions.
