Here's an example of the type I'm thinking of - I didn't mean to imply the overall volume was any different - just the dimensions - you can see they are less cubical than conventional VRLA's and so more apt to fit in skinny spots, shallow bilges, etc

5KWH will give ~2 hours @4kts (55amp draw) give or take - depending on need this can be more than adequate. Would I want more? Always....

The only other alternative is lithium and I think I heard the word "budget" mentioned...Now we can argue that it is, from a TCO perspective, the cheaper alternative, but the upfront investment is what usually turns people away.
