[Electric Boats] Re: QUAD BATTERY CHARGERS FOR A 48 VOLT BANK

You should easily be able to find upto 60 amp single chargers .

there ought to be a way of combining the Zivan and the Quad . Particularly if the charging current of one or both can be altered so that the total combined current is no more than about 30amps. But I feel damage to one of the chargers may occour if you just simply parralled them . Probaly some diodes would be needed in circuit . Perhaps Zivan might give advice.

Check page 4 of their product manual for a drawing that shows how this works with a 3 bank model http://www.promariner.com/download.php?file=75_1079_ProTournament.pdf

Since the Zivan NG-1 I have puts out 16 amps max across the entire bank and seemed to do a pretty good job except for the balance issue I thought I was making good choice. After reading your message perhaps I should have bought something like the Pro Mariner Quad which is a 30 amp unit instead. I did not know there were 30 amp quad chargers units available....
