Hey this is a great product ...  It might be a great solution as the would be little to know need for desalination units, heaters, and noisy engines.  But it is not the clean and energy independent.

From the websight:  The new OorjaPac is essentially an 11-gallon fuel tank full of methanol — a widely available source of fuel produced from natural gas, landfill gases and biomass waste. When the tank is nearing empty, it can be filled up just like a regular gas tank within minutes.   (these people are honest!)  

Weight wise however, this is great we can burn the fuel and then drink the exhausts.  The minerals will need to be put back into the distilled water.  That is easy enough to do.

It might actually be too efficient!  Looking at it from a water production stand point. smile
