[Electric Boats] Re: converter

 

It varies . Depends on the item. For example .LED lighting is not yet quite as efficient as flourescent so that running flourecent ( or CLT)off sine AC might be worthwhile despite the 10 % converter loss. Also some things like ice boxes can be more efficient and rugged and less expensive if they are the AC line type.
