Re: [Electric Boats] Helsen 23 conversion

Gear ratio of belt drives is 3" pulley on electric motor and 5 and 1/2" on prop shaft.  Initial pulleys from Spincraft were 3" and 6" but clearances to hull bottom were too tight.  Roughly 2/1 so it appears.

Dave,

Do you know the "gear" ratio of your belt drive?

Thanks,
Eric

The motor, controller etc. are for 36 or 48 volts. Roughly 5 hp electric with 6" advanced dc brushed motor. System bought complete from Spincraft Electric Boats, Ottawa, Canada....
