Re: [Electric Boats] Re: boat designs

Matt

there is a huge market for displacement cruisers, mostly for people planning/taking long distance trips without sail that desire economy and reliability. The styles are almost endless with tugs, trawlers and a host of others used as the base style. I guess not everyone has to compensate for their personal deficiencies with massive fuel guzzling engine configurations.

I wonder about these <http://www.rangertugs.com>.

I was surprised recently to see some one promoting these at the Sydney
'Royal Easter Show'. What , some one promoting a displacement hull boat
?. I nearly fell over.

The boating market is so focused on speed and even more speed, that I
was most surprised to see some one promoting a 'slow' boat.
