[Electric Boats] Re: Bermuda 30 conversion

 

Jeff,

I'm still in the process of removing stuff and prepping the engine area for the install. I'm taking pictures as I go and will be adding a folder to this group for some of the pics as I get further along. The B-30 can be a little deceptive, the bilge seems deep, but it is very narrow, in fact the entire lower hull is more slender than modern boats. As a result, finding low places for batteries is a challenge.

One excercise worth doing is taking your current house battery and seeing how it fits in various places around your boat. You'll get a new appreciation about how large group 27 or 31 battery is, and the funny shapes of cabinets and other hidden areas on your boat.
